Time to move on from 2016!
2016 was probably one of the most happening year since I was born! Yes I’m not even kidding!

Ahh, I don’t even know where to start so I’m just gonna list the top three.

2016 was the year I started my one-year long internship with SMRT Corporation Ltd. Never thought I would be able to get through the selection and interview process cause it’s one of the “Big 3” in my course of study! That being said, I’m really blessed to have my friends to be in the same company as me! (Hahaha, not the same department of course). Not only that, I’m thankful that I have friends who offered to help me with my work when I’m swarmed and heavily buried under my work. Even though most of the time I have endless deadlines to meet, being an intern in SMRT is probably the best decision. 4 months into internship, 8 more months to go, but I can say that I’m ready for the working world (not that I love it, hahaha).

Another really big milestone in 2016 was the fact that I took a huge step and followed my dreams. Those who know me since I was in Secondary school, you’d probably know that I’ve always wanted to be a DJ. The passion grew harder and bigger after I turned 18 when I became a hardcore clubber (many of my friends called me that then.. Roll eyes) and a festival-addict. If you followed my Facebook Page closely, I did mention that I took part in Pioneer DJ MixUsHappy 2016. Over the course of about 3-4 months, I made many good friends (even family you can say), travelled to Vietnam with them, learnt the technical skills in DJ-ing, took part in the Semi-Finals, and got through to the Finals and spun at 2 clubs (VLV and Millian). Yet again, I am deeply thankful for my ever-supportive fiancé for pushing me out of my comfort zone and hearing my mix every-single-day.

2016 was also a year where I lost many friends, but gained even more. It made me realize that there are some people who will only be there for you as long as you have something they need, and when you serve a purpose to them. It also made me realize that some friends are just “hangout friends” and not friends that you can rely on when you need help. Nevertheless, I’m still thankful for those who never left.

I’m ready for you, 2017!
