Pies & Coffee was founded in 2011. As the name suggests, the brand is known for its array of buttery, shortcrust pastries and robust coffee blends. With its cosy ambiance and congenial vibe, Pies & Coffee makes an ideal address for family and friends to gather and enjoy tête-à-têtes. With many different outlets such as at Robertson Walk, Rochester Mall, The Grandstand and Alexandra Retail Centre, it should be pretty accessible!

Since September 30 this year, there are many new piping hot meals and a new depth of flavours added into the menu! A specialist of handcrafted gourmet pies with buttery, shortcrust pastries, Pies & Coffee is proud to present a greater dining experience that extends beyond the enjoyment of pies! It has added several marquee mainstays to its menu and now promises the ultimate gastronomic experience.

White clams are stir-fried with onions, carrots, potatoes, celeries and mixed herbs before fresh clam juice is added to the potpourri. A rich cream then thickens the liquid, and the soup is cooked and reduced for two hours. All this goodness swims in a crusty bread bowl. This heartening soup is a perfect way to kick-start the culinary experience at Pies & Coffee.

This must-try olive-accented focaccia contains a medley of turkey ham as well as garlic turkey and is enlivened by the rich goodness of béchamel sauce and mozzarella cheese. A generous serving of pesto sauce caps off the dish. Served with side salad, this tasty item makes a gratifying meal.

Another new item on the menu, the Lobster Bisque Baked Rice! It is an explosion of flavours the moment the bisque hits your palate. Fresh flower crabs, prawns and slipper lobsters lend a strong sweet note. Onions, mixed herbs, carrots and celeries are then tossed in a prawn stock, which drenches the charbroiled long-grain rice. Taking six hours to prepare, the lobster bisque sauce is a reduction of fresh flower crab, prawn and slipper lobster jus. As seen below, the cheese gooey as it has been melted to the right texture!
