Soon Soon Heng Bak Kut Teh
Not the best BKT in Johor but it is one of the most easily-accessed location! You just need to take a cab at only 11RM ($4.30sgd) from City Square! Or if you want to take public transport, it's about 2RM/pax for the bus from City Square bus terminal.

Love the variety of ingredients that can be added into the soup! :) Not very sure why the soup can only be refilled once for free though! The staff told us that refilling of soup for each subsequent time is chargeable. The youtiao was the best I had so far from a BKT stall. Unlike the ones in Singapore which usually have the reused oil smell/taste, so it's definitely one of the best!

The dishes were served really quickly, within 5-10minutes despite being full-house.

Price range: About $40sgd for 4 pax.

Sizzling Stonegrill

Food is served cooking on a hot volcanic stone heated to 400 degC/752 degF, allowing the diners to enjoy a meal freshly grilled to their own taste, be it rare, medium or well-done. Food is healthier and more nutritious as the unique 'dry cooking' uses no added fat or oil. - The Stonegrill Concept

Personally, the tomyum seafood doesn't really taste like tomyum to me, it's more of like Asam Laksa. Nevertheless, I still loved the taste! The portion is really big, it'll be good to share! It is surprisingly quite authentic, and can pack a pretty good blast for ‘Malaysian’ tomyum. And since it’s on a rock, the soup is kept piping hot throughout the meal, just how soups should be! ;)

Tomyum seafood - 11.90RM
For the steak, you get to choose between fries and fried rice as a side dish. I don't recommend to get fried rice. It's quite tasteless in my opinion. But nevertheless, the meat was really good! Love the sauce.

 Kah Kah Loke
Everyone comes here just for the bitter gourd soup! The soup is naturally sweet and the main ingredients are thinly sliced bitter gourd, lean pork, and pork liver. You can choose whether you want the lean pork/pork liver to be in the soup. Simple, yet really tasty. The bitter gourd slices are soft yet crunchy and naturally sweet with only a slight hint of bitterness. I don’t usually eat bitter gourd because I can’t stand the bitterness, but I could actually eat it here! The pork slices are tender and sweet.

Ps: The sambal potato leaves is one of the best I've ever eaten. PERIOD!

Maco Cafe & Bakery
A clean and simple looking cafe with main course, pastries and impressive coffee. It offers various flavours of Mille Crèpe and Macarons which are supplied by Sugar & Flour.

Maco’s mille crepe is about 9.80RM/slice. Maco's mille crepe cakes have a nice layered tender texture with a gentle bite. The layered cakes come in many innovative styles and flavours which Maco constantly creates. The chilled cakes have a fresh cream flavour and are not overly sweet. The chilled fresh cream have an ice cream-like mouth feel. I’ve tried many mille crepes and Maco is one of the best! I tried a few of Maco's signature mille crepe cakes and enjoyed them all.

I've not tried the main course yet, but I'll definitely be back to try them!
