Dazzling Cafe was launched in 2010 and has now expanded to 9 outlets all over Taiwan, in addition to 4 outlets in Shanghai, 1 outlet in Hong Kong, and now also available in Singapore. Dazzling Cafe is located at level 1 of Capitol Piazza.

I was expecting a very long wait as I have friends who waited 2 hours just to get a seat! I arrived at the cafe at about 4.30pm on a weekday afternoon and thankfully there wasn't any queue, so I got my seat right away :) Hahaha probably because it was such a weird hour! So anyway, when I arrived, I was really impressed by Dazzling Cafe's undeniably pretty interior design, menu and service.

I ordered Mentaiko Spaghetti in Cream Sauce (S$18.90) and Dazzling Classic Honey Toast (S$16.90). Even though the pasta wasn’t extremely impressive, I wouldn't mind going back to try other main courses.

The Shibuya style french honey toast is a definitely must-try! Afterall, Shibuya toasts are the rage these days. Dazzling Cafe was able to come up with a technique to render the French toast at an amazingly even crispness. I don’t recall seeing it on the menu but apparently you can ask for the toast to be either normal, medium or crispy, depending on your personal preference. The waitress who served me told me that if it is your first time trying, it would be good to choose normal crispiness cause it might be too hard.

The toast was really big, but don’t feel too intimidated by the huge size of this block of caramelised toast, for its center has already been sliced into 6 pieces of bread within. A pair of tongs for each diner is also provided to serve and share the dessert. The waitress offered to help me slice up the toast and taught me the right way to savour it.

Overall, my verdict? I loved it! I know some people may think that it isn't THAT amazing or that it's overpriced, but this tower of toast was phenomenal! Well, taste can be subjective yeah? :D
Prices are expected to range from $15 to $22 for the Shibuya Honey Toast dishes and $18 to $28 for a pasta dish.
